How to join the group with the Free Designs
First, you must be a registered member of the community. You will see a box on the right of the screen. Click to sign up.
After you're a registered member, you can now post on the forums and join groups. There are two types of groups- Public and Private. The Free Designs group is set to Private. The Contests group is set to Public. Therefore, you have two different ways to sign up on the groups.
Signing up for the Free Designs group or any private group-
Click the Groups tab on the main menu above. You will be directed the the main Groups page, which is where you will see all groups here in the community. Members can create groups as well, not just A Stitch Club administrators. We encourage you all to create groups to share with one another in order to keep a close community as well.
Click on the image for the Free Designs Group. This will take you to the Free Designs home page.
If you are not yet a member, click the link at the top that reads "request invitation". Then click "send" for the request. Once you have made your request and it's been accepted, you will receive an invitation in your email. Click the link in the email.
The link takes you back to the Free Designs Group home page. Now click the "Join" button.
You're now a member of this group, and can join any private group in the same manner.
Downloading the designs- Most free designs will be found in the Free designs group. To access them, scroll down on the Free Designs Group's page. You will see "discussions". Here you will find topics with the free designs. Sometimes, you will need to click "View All" in order to see all topics, as only 3 can fit on the group's home page.
Now, anytime you want to access the Free Designs group, all you need to do is sign in to the community, click Groups, and click the Free Designs group image. This will always take you to that group's home page.
JOINING THE CONTESTS GROUP OR OTHER PUBLIC GROUP
The Contests group is a public group, which most groups will be. To join the Contests Group, you will click the Groups tab on the main menu above, then click on the Contests Group image to go that home page.
In the top right corner, you will see "Join Contests". If the group has a different name, it will be "Join ______" Click the link. You will automatically be a member of the public group with nothing more to do. Anytime you wish to come back to the group, simply click the Groups tab on the main menu, then click the Contests group image. You will be taken to the group home page.
To vote on images in the Contest Group, click the Vote button on the Contests page. Other members always appreciate comments on their work. Each comment you leave on photos that show up when you click the Vote button, these will all count as a vote. You can vote only once per image. Be sure to comment on their photos, it counts as a vote! You can vote on your own image once per image as well.
