Entering a photo in a contest

To enter a photo in a contest, it's the same process for the most part as uploading your photos.

The difference is you will need to add a special tag in the "tags" box. Each contest will have it's own tag and will be noted in the Contests Group and in the forum. For example, if we have a contest that states "Tag the photo with Contest1", you simply enter "Contest1" into the tag line. You separate tags by commas. This will allow other members to vote on your image. This is a way you can also tag a photo you've already uploaded to enter into the contest. Just edit the photo and place the new tag in the tag line.

To know which tags to use, visit the Contests group on our Groups page using the tab on the menu above. You will find the correct tags to use for the current contest.

To properly upload a photo for the contest, please let me explain a little more on how it works.

TO UPLOAD YOUR PHOTO- Click your "My Page" tab located on the top menu. On your "My Page", you will see a link "add photos". You can also find this link by clicking the main tab "Photos" on the menu above. It will be in the top right corner of the page using this method.

Once you have clicked to "add photos", click the "browse" button and find the image you wish to upload. Be sure to add the contest Tag in the tags line. For this contest, it is halloween_contest You can add other tags as well, but must have the halloween_contest in order for others to vote on your image.

If you need help with uploading, I'm more than happy to assit you. I know it all can seem a little much at first.

Great job Elizabeth...I saw your photo.

If you go to view your photo, I added tag in for you. Look beneath your photo, and you will now see "Tags" halloween_contest. This will allow everyone to vote for you.

Morning, I am new here. I just tried to download two pictures of a purse I made, but do not see it on the page were we vote, did I do something bad :( Please help me out. Thanks

Hi Brenda,

Thank you for trying to add your photos to the contest. You uploaded your photos here in the forum, and not actually in the gallery.

Please follow the directions found at this link to upload your photos correctly. You will need to add "Halloween_Contest" in the tags box when you upload your photos.

Once you have uploaded your photos, visit the Contests group using the link below. You will see a button that says "Vote". Click the button and you can vote by adding comments to the photos.

Please someone help me!!!!!!! I have been trying to get my two pictures in the contest, but I am so mix up. I can get them to my file of pictures, and I try to edit Tag and notting happens, I am also trying to put a picture of myself and my husband in my file picture, but no go on that. and every time I have to sign off to go do something with the grandkids. when I try and re-enter my password, it does not work. so I have had four or five-(- I have lost count) new passwords today. I am getting tried, my back hurts, by the way I have had five back surgeries in 10 years. This is kill me.
Please can someone please put my two pictures in the contest for me? and someone let me know what to do about the other two problems.

I see that you were able to get some photos and not the others. This could be due to some of the errors that I've had with the community since their "update".

I am looking into some alternatives for us to use. I will try to upload your images for you and see if I get the same errors. It appears that members and moderators do not receive the same errors.

Please don't get frustrated nor hurt yourself. It's not worth that. But, I will do my best to find out what is causing all this on the community site.

I downloaded your photos and got them uploaded. However, there is a duplicate and I can't delete it! ugh! This is really getting on my nerves too, you know. Not you, just the errors that keep happening.

Anyway, the images were too large. I just resized them and uploaded them for you.
