This was a question posted by a member, and I wanted to also post the reply here.
To download the free designs, you do need to join the Free Designs group.
To do so, click the Groups tab located on the top menu bar. Then click on the Free Designs group image. Once on the group page, look toward the top and click "request an invitation to join" Since this is new, I am also manually inviting people to join the group as well.
Once an invitation has been sent, you will receive it in your email that you registered with. Follow the link. It will take you to the group home page. Beneath the main menu tabs, click the "Join" button. You will then be a member of the Free Designs Group.
To download the designs-
Each design is listed separately in the discussion forum in the group. You will sometimes need to click "View All" beneath the discussions because only 3 messages appear on the front page.
Each week, we'll add more of the alphabet on until we've completed the set. Then we'll start with something new.
To join the CONTESTS group, you do not need to request an invitation. Instead, you will only need to click the "Join Group" link located in the top right corner of the group home page. This will allow you to not only submit photos for the contest but also allow you to vote on other members photos.

You can download the monogram designs in our Free Designs group. If you're not sure how to join, just visit our other forum posts on instructions for joining the group.
