Paint on fabric?

My teen daughter is interested in painting on designs for t-shirts, etc. Does anyone else do this? I saw some patterns at Michael's but only a couple. I will try to google to see what I come up with too.

If any of you do, what is the best paint, etc to use?

I have never tried them myself but have heard that Lumiere paints are supposed to be good.
